Olympic Sports Festival Sunday 15th July 2012

As part of this year's Hampshire Water Festival, Havant Borough Council are teaming up with East Hampshire District Council to deliver an Olympic Sports Festival.

This will be the Councils flagship community Olympic event with fun for the whole family.

The day will include taster sessions from local sports clubs, fun inflatable's and an opportunity to interact with local talented athletes!

These fun activities will be split into four zones:

Sports Zone:

Fun and free taster sessions from local sports clubs. This will be a great opportunity to take part in sports that you have always wanted to try. Interactive sessions will be delivered by qualified coaches and you will have the chance to meet local sports clubs to see what they can provide. These sessions will be available for the whole family to take part.

Challenge Zone:

The Challenge Zone will offer children, mums and dads the chance to 'have a go' at a number of different inflatable challenges. This will include an Assault Course and Human Bungee Eliminator!

Health Zone:

The Health Zone will give you the chance to learn more about why we should stay healthy and what the benefits are. You will have the opportunity to chat to local health providers and find out more about what support is on offer.

Inspiration Zone:

With the 2012 Olympics just around the corner, this will be a great opportunity to interact with high level elite athletes from the local area. Talented athletes will tell their stories of how they are striving to make it at the top of their sport and offer some inspirational skills sessions.
